Dr. Daniel Tepper is a board-certified ophthalmologist and the CEO of our practice. Dr. Tepper completed his medical training at Tulane Medical School. He graduated with honors and received recognition for his contributions to the field of ophthalmology. Dr. Tepper completed his ophthalmology residency at Tulane and was invited to join the school's staff. He taught ophthalmology residents at Tulane before returning to his hometown of Chicago to open his practice. Dr. Tepper is also a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a clinical professor at the University of Illinois.

Dr. Tepper is a board-certified ophthalmologist and practices comprehensive ophthalmology with a focus on advanced cataract surgery and the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. He received his undergraduate and master’s degrees in the biological sciences at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.

Dr. Tepper went on to complete his medical training in 1991 at Tulane Medical School in New Orleans, where he graduated with honors and was recognized for his clinical research in ophthalmology. After completing his ophthalmology residency at Tulane, he was invited to join the school’s medical staff where he taught surgical skills to the ophthalmology residents. In 1997, he returned to practice in his hometown of Chicago.

Dr. Tepper is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and an adjunct clinical professor at the University of Illinois. He actively supports the Blind Service Association as a prior board member. His society memberships include the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Illinois Association of Ophthalmology, and the Chicago Ophthalmological Society. In October 1999, Dr. Tepper joined a group of doctors who conduct medical missions throughout the world. He has provided charitable surgery to people in the Philippines and Panama.

Dr. Tepper, who is proficient in Spanish, has been practicing ophthalmology since 1993 and is on staff at multiple Chicago area hospitals. Since his teenage years, Dr. Tepper has been an avid proponent of utilizing proper nutrition and fitness in the prevention of disease, and he frequently integrates nutritional information into the care of his patients. In 2009, he received nutritional certification from the prestigious Columbia Teachers College in New York. In 2010, he moved his office from the Southside of Chicago to Wicker Park
